Geox, the shoe that breathes

Saturday, 12 June 2004

The system patented by Pol, the company that produces the Geox shoes, is so innovative that it has revolutionised the entire shoes industry. Considering that that 80% of shoes produced in the whole world has a rubber sole, Geox's system offers the concrete solution that permits all rubber shoes to 'breathe', through a scientifically tested technology that can be applied to any type of shoe, without altering the waterproof qualities of rubber.

The most innovative element of this system is the membrane, deriving from the development of materials used in space research. Placed between the rubber of the sole and the inside, it behaves like a second skin, absorbing moisture without holding it inside the shoe, thus avoiding problems common to rubber sole shoes, such as sweat saturation and consequent epidermis problems. After two years lab analysis, the system was applied for the first time in 1990 on a children's collection, followed by the men and woman collection. The thermographic tests done at Tokyo university have scientifically proven that wearing a Geox shoe compared to normal rubber sole footwear keeps feet in good condition avoiding rashes and excessive sweat....a 'breath of fresh air' for our shoes.
